Dr. Will Chang Liu has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) since January 2025. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and subsequently received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). She then conducted postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she focused on multi-physics coupling in hydrogels with an emphasis on thermal science. Dr. Liu is dedicated to the development of stimuli-responsive hydrogels and innovative green energy devices, with applications in low-grade energy harvesting, thermal management, and water harvesting. She has published 23 academic papers in internationally renowned journals such as Nature Water, Joule, Energy & Environmental Science, Nature Communications, Nano Energy, and PNAS.
